Visored Sallet with articulated tail - 15th century


Sallet (fr. "Salade) is type of medieval helmet, that replaced bascinet. Such helmets were popular among soldiers, because is was more open and provided wider visibility, than bascinets did.

This model of German Sallet of the end of XV century has typical prolonged tail, that covers the neck. Movable visor with ocular is fixed with rivets on the dome.

Base price includes helmet made of cold-rolled steel 1.5 mm, with satin finish treatment, steel rivets and sewn liner.

We strictly recommend you to wear helmet with liner for more comfort.
