Many graphic sources of medieval helmets of the 12th century reached present days.
This helmet is a transitional model, combining the Norman type dome with the whole plates which are aimed to protect the lower part of warrior's head. It also has additional holes under the eye-slots for a better view and equipped with mobile visor eligible for SCA fighting.
Simplicity and reliability are the words to best describe this model of the medieval military art.
The helmet is made of hot rolled 2 mm (14 ga) steel, the visor is made of 1,5mm (16 ga) steel. The surfaces are satin polished outside and painted inside. Steel rivets and buckles. High quality leather straps.
