Men's cotta XII-XIII centuries

Men's cotta is a wide shirt made of wool or linen and is worn over the chemise. The lenght of cotta was changing in time - from the midthigh to the ankles. The simple cut of cotta was unchanged - only materials and colours were vary.

Cotta with lenght to the midcalf is typical for the XII-XIII centuries. On the neckline, there is a cut to the solar plexus. It is being fastened with leather string, and all holes for the string are sewn round by hand.

The bottom-hem and sleeves are decorated with fabric strips of contrast colour.

Long chausses and chemise will be a perfect addition to this cotta. The cotta is a part of soldier's costume.

We recommend you to order cotta with lining, as it'll make it more comfortable in wearing.

The main colour is available in options for order. Please send the wished colour of lining to us
