Spanish (European) type of brigandine, was popular in 15th century.
We developed new system of making brigandines. We build them up using not just light rivets or rivets. We use complex building up the plates with rivets, leather washers and steel washers for the outer shell of a brigandine and the steel washer from inside of the brigandine to avoid tear out during heavy fighting. See sketch building up with steel/brass rivets
For building up with pop rivets we use following order. Pop-rivet with wide head and leather washer from outer shell and the steel ending of the pop-rivet. See sketch building up with pop- rivets
The body part is made of square plates 6 x 6cm size. Total number of plates on the body part is 184pcs.
This model of brigandine is based on the scientific publication "The riders of the war. European Cavalry " by Aleksinsky, Zhukov, Butyagin, Korovkin, 2005.
